Last fall I started a deck renovation project and I wanted to include an outdoor fireplace. My current home does not have a wood-burning fireplace inside and I thought the deck be a perfect place. I’m generally not the type of person to shop around for the best deal or the cheapest price. I’m more of the type of person to shop around for the best company with an outstanding reputation like The Hayes Company with 40+ years of service to back them up. There’s a reason they’ve been around for so long. With making this hefty renovation investment I was most comfortable using a local company with personal customer service. As we all know all major renovation projects are not easy going or flawless. At the time of my installation of my fireplace there was a slight issue with the glass door. I appreciated the honesty from Jared, who installed my unit. He made mention that he was going to speak with his manager about the issue of not getting the door to install properly and he’d be back once there was a way to make it right. There were a two instances where I had to remove the door from the fireplace. I sent an email and Jared came back to put it back on without hesitation. He let me know they were still waiting on any suggestions from the manufacturer. All it took was a simple email to The Hayes Company and they were on top of it. They acknowledged there was an issue and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Phil was able to give me an exact date of when they’d be here to fix the issue after speaking with the manufacturer. Today I was greeted with Jared and Christopher with smiles and immediate apologies for this taking so long to get fixed correctly. I told him it’s no big deal I’m just glad you were honest with me from the beginning and able to communicate with Phil and Superior Fireplace what the actual issue was. This is the exact kind of customer service I look for when doing renovation projects. And it’s proof that if I went with the best deal for the cheapest price that I would not have been able to resolve this issue and not have had such great communication. I know it will be sometime, but I’m already excited about my next renovation project!! I’m absolutely certain that whatever my next project is I’ll be contacting The Hayes Company again.
